The outstanding reliability of OECO’s custom aircraft light dimmers has made them an essential component of most aircraft lighting systems, including electroluminescent type, which require low electro-magnetic interference (“EMI”) not attainable with solid state devices.

In addition to commercial aviation applications, the Company’s aircraft light dimmers are used on many military platforms, such as the F-14, F-15, F-16, B-2 and F-22. On the commercial aviation front, the Company has been the primary supplier of aircraft light dimmers to Boeing and the former McDonnell Douglas for over 40 years. OECO’s light dimmers were designed into the 707 and MD-80, and every Boeing and McDonnell Douglas airplane produced since.
